The Sacred Heart Knights could not seem to get things rolling on Friday night, as they fell to Plainville 38-8.

Sacred Heart's run game was unable to produce much throughout the evening, while the pass game produced 116 yards.
The Knights' lone touchdown of the evening came in the third quarter when senior quarterback Maddox Wells took the ball in from one yard out, followed by a completion from Wells to senior Dom Matteucci for the two-point conversion.
Plainville's offense was led by freshman quarterback Weston Hamel and running back Braylon Becker.
The Cardinals found the end zone twice in the first quarter and twice in the second, going into halftime with a 25-0 lead.
They did not let up from there, starting the third quarter with an explosive kickoff return as Davyn Willeford took it to the house.
The Knights' defense came up with a turnover as Wells intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it about 65 yards to the Cardinals' 35-yard line.
Sacred Heart drops to 4-3 for the season, while Plainville improves to 2-5.
Sacred Heart will end the regular season on the road as they travel to Hays to take on the undefeated Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs (7-0).
