The 14th-oldest retailer in the United States is coming to Salina.
Glik's announced today that it plans to open two stores in the Central Mall.
"We are excited about coming to Salina in October. We will have two stores in the Central Mall. One will be a women’s boutique featuring women’s fashion, footwear and accessories. The other store will be a Glik’s Mens which will feature men’s fashion, footwear and accessories," the company noted in a news release today.
Glik’s is a family owned retail company that offers name-brand apparel and footwear for men and women. Brands include The North Face, Patagonia, Thread & Supply, KanCan, Hey Dude, Roxy, Nature Backs, Simply Southern, HUK, Ariat, Love Stitch, Billabong, Hurley, 1897, and Quiksilver.
"Each Glik’s store location is personally selected by a member of the Glik family, and many of our buyers have been promoted from our boutiques. It’s that local experience and personal insight that allows us to fill our stores with brands and styles specifically chosen for your community. This also means you’ll never find two Glik’s stores that are exactly the same," the company explained.
Glik's opened its first store, a menswear store, in St. Louis, Mo., in 1897. Since then, five generations of the Glik family have built the family owned company that now includes more than 60 stores in 11 states.
