Sacred Heart will play its third game in three consecutive nights as they travel to Ellsworth on Wednesday.
Girl's game: Sacred Heart (8-5, 1-3) vs. Ellsworth (7-6, 1-3)
The Lady Knights are expecting a tough and physical game from the Bearcats.
"They're going to get after you. They're going to play some (man-to-man defense). They're going to try to jam the ball inside," Sacred Heart Head Coach Carl Hines said. "They've got a couple of girls that can shoot it and if they see one go in, they'll see a few go in."
Sacred Heart knows that despite Ellsworth's record they've been competitive throughout the season to this point.
"It's not going to be easy by any means. They've lost some close games," Coach Hines continued. "They're going to scrap, they're going to hit the floor. They're going to do things and we need to be prepared for that."
Tip-off for the girl’s game is set for 6:00 pm from Ellsworth.
Boy's game: Sacred Heart (12-1, 3-1) vs. Ellsworth (12-1, 3-1)
The Knights are well aware of the talent of the Bearcats, including one player in particular.
"They've got arguably the best player in our league in Will Cravens. Will's a multi-dimensional perimeter guy. Sacred Heart Head Coach Brian Gormley explained, "He can hit from 25 (feet). He drives it well. He dunks two-handed and everything kind of runs through him."
In addition to Cravens, Sacred Heart will need to focus on other key players as well.
"They've got two good (post players) that they use well," Coach Gormley continued. "They do a nice job of high-low offense and, to be honest, we've got to make that project number two for our defense to be able to make it tough in the high-low entry and slow down Cravens."
Tip-off for the boy’s game is set for 7:30 pm from Ellsworth.
