Salina Police Department (SPD) Officers responded to a robbery in the 100 block of North Santa Fe Avenue on the afternoon of September 7.

According to SPD Cpt. James Feldman, the incident occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m., when a 53-year-old Salina man reported that a suspect approached him and forcibly took his hat.

Witnesses at the scene confirmed the account, leading police to arrest 48-year-old Christopher McCarter. He was taken into custody on requested robbery charges.

Salina Police Captain James Feldman stated that McCarter has no permanent residence in Salina.&nbsp;
