TOPEKA– Kansans planning to obtain health insurance coverage through the Federal Marketplace for 2022 need to act quickly. For coverage to begin Jan. 1 individuals must enroll by Wednesday.

Individuals will be able to enroll until Jan. 15.

“Consumers who enroll between Dec. 15 and Jan. 15, will be eligible for health insurance coverage beginning Feb. 1, 2022,” said Kayde Han, Cover Kansas Communications Coordinator.

Cover Kansas has over 30 certified Navigators ready to provide free assistance with reviewing eligibility for financial aid, comparing health insurance plans, and helping consumers enroll in the coverage plan of their choice. Starting this year, virtual Navigators are also available to answer questions and help with enrollment on a phone or video call.

“Our Navigators are here to assist consumers year-round with the Health Insurance Marketplace,” said Han. “I encourage consumers to reach out with any questions.”
