Terence E. Carlson

Terence E. Carlson, 102, passed away on June 30, 2024, just a month short of his 103rd birthday, at Sunflower Terrace in Lindsborg. Terence was born on August 03, 1921 in Lindsborg to the late Abel W. and Ellen V. (Nilson) Carlson.
Terence earned a bachelor's degree and was a World War II veteran who served in the United States Navy. He was a long time farmer in the Lindsborg area. On May 5, 1945 he married Margaret Richards at Marquette, KS. He was also an active member of the Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church.
Terence is survived by his daughters: Marsha Wilson of Overland Park, KS, Rachel Carlson (Aaron) of Loveland, CO, Miriam Carlson (Patrick Crockett) of Lindsborg, and Rita Shultz (Craig) of Wichita, KS; son-in-law: John Martin (Jolene); daughter-in-law: Jane Allison (Duane), as well as 14 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Terence is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Margaret; daughter: Mary L. Martin; son Daniel G. Carlson; son-in-law: James Wilson; infant brother: Arnold Carlson; brother: Homer Carlson and wife Margaret; sisters: Helen Watts and husband Herb and Eunice Peterson and husband Norris; grandson: Brian Shultz; and great-grandson: Caden Carlson.
Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Crick-Christian Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, 1:00pm at Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Jeff Waugh officiating. Burial will follow at Smoky Hill Cemetery in Lindsborg, KS.
