UPDATE 4:45 p.m. Monday: The National Weather Service has issued several wind advisories in effect Tuesday for counties in our area. They are below.

Several wind advisories have been issued for our area for Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 1 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties in our area.

McPherson County

Saline County

North winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, the weather service noted. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Additionally, the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 1 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

North winds around 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are forecast.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, the weather service noted. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a wind advisory in effect from 1 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday that includes Clay County.

North winds at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.
