Photographer Shelley Griffith is making sure people keep an eye on local business professionals.
Griffith is now exhibiting in the virtual Gallery 708 at Salina Public Library. The exhibit, Eye Do, will be on display at salinapubliclibrary.org/virtual until May 31. The show includes unique portraits of local business professionals that include elements that represent their careers.
Viewers are encouraged to examine each portrait and try to guess what they do before reading on. Griffith says her intention behind this gallery is to “bring awareness to the community of different and unique businesses in our city and to help people put a face to the name.”
Shelley Griffith is a professional photographer who started her photography journey as a college student just needing that GPA booster class. She has been patiently building her skills and business over a period of 18 years. Much of her inspiration comes from life itself and the people in it.
Capturing moments in life that can never be recaptured drives her passion for photography. The truth of how simple and fragile life is gives her inspiration to push the limits, explore and make each session its own. Connecting to those around her gives her purpose and keeps her looking at life with childlike eyes each time she pulls out the camera.
