Cooler weather is just around the corner.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, central and eastern Kansas will experience one more hot day on Friday, with high temperatures in the middle to upper 90s.
Heat index values will be even a little higher near 100 degrees, NWS noted.
