WICHITA, Kan. -- Chris Finocchario of No. 10 Kansas Wesleyan University has earned the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday. This week's KCAC Players of the Week were selected for their performances from April 13-19 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
Finocchario had a great week as the Coyotes went 4-0 and secured the outright KCAC Baseball regular-season championship. He hit .625 in four games and drove in eight runs, most importantly five runs against York to help KWU win 7-4. He had a .700 on base percentage and slugged at 1.125 for the week. This marks the second time this season Finocchario has been named the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week.
The Coyotes wrap up the regular season this weekend, hosting Southwestern on Thursday at 5 p.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m. in a doubleheader. All three games will be at Dean Evans Stadium.
