Delilah Marie Smith, 90, of Delphos, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Nicol Home in Glasco, Kansas.
Delilah was born August 22, 1935, in Minneapolis, Kansas, to John H. and Myrtle Thelma (Masters) Hamilton.
Delilah was a 1953 graduate of Minneapolis High School. She married the love of her life, Dean Smith, on April 11, 1954. Together, they had four children: Larry, Marty, Clinton, and Tonya, who blessed them with 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Delilah worked many jobs throughout her life, mostly in bookkeeping, but her longest tenure was serving as the City Clerk of Delphos until her retirement. She also cared for and maintained the Delphos Methodist Church for 40 years.
Delilah was devoted to her family, a loyal servant to her Lord, and a lifelong member of the Salina Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Delilah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; her siblings, Little Johnny, Welby, James Larry, Harvey, Carroll, Lonnie, Patricia, and Dean; her sons, Larry and Clinton; and her grandson, Jamie.
Survivors include her son, Marty (Carrie) Smith of Minneapolis; her daughter, Tonya (Dieter) Tyler of Delphos; her brother, Roy (Anne) Hamilton; her sister, Cleta (Mike) Kinsman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 30, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 31, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Minneapolis.
