The Kansas Wesleyan men's soccer team put its three-match winning streak on the line on Saturday against the Friends Falcons, who were receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll, and it was the Falcons who came away with the 3-0 win at the Graves Family Sports Complex.

Friends had a 1-0 lead at half time, on a ninth minute goal by Yushin Kitada.

Wesleyan had a couple great looks at goals in the 26th minute by Luis Simbron (SR/Miami, Fla.) and in the 28th by Ivis Gutierrez (SR/Los Angeles, Calif.), but both were saved.

Friends got its second goal in the 46th minute from Juan Zamora.

The Coyotes had a few more chances on good looks by Alfonso Lopez (JR/Fontana, Calif.) in the 50th minute and again in the 68th and another by Havier Zaragoza (JR/Hacienda Heights, Calif.) in the 69th that hit the crossbar.

Wesleyan outshot Friends 15-11 in the match led by four shots each by Simbron and Lopez.

The Coyotes will be back in action on Wednesday in Winfield at Southwestern.
