UPDATE: Two quakes, including a 3.0, shake SE Saline County

UPDATE 11:25 a.m. Saturday: The 2.4 magnitude quake was preceded by a 3.0 magnitude quake, althought it was not reported by the Kansas Geological Survey earthquake page.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 3.0 magnitude quake struck at 2:41 a.m. Saturday. It was centered east-southeast of the S. Cunningham Road/E. Hobbs Creek Road intersection.

GYPSUM - A small earthquake shook part of southeastern Saline County early this morning.

The 2.4 magnitude earthquake struck west of Gypsum, just south of Southeast of Saline schools at 3:29 a.m., according to the Kansas Geological Survey.
