If you're planning to travel west on Interstate 70today or tonight, be aware that the highway is closed between Colby and Goodland.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, eastbound and westbound I-70 is closed between Colby and Goodland "due to high winds, zero-visibility conditions and vehicle crashes."

Motorists traveling in the northwest part of the state "are asked to use caution and/or reduce travel due to weather conditions," KDOT noted.

Go to www.kandrive.org for updates on highway closings.
