More than 1,000 feet of copper wire, power tools stolen from Evergy

Police are investigating the theft of copper wire and power tools from Evergy.

Sometime between Wednesday and Friday, someone cut the chainlink fence on the west end of the Evergy property at 1001 Edison Place and stole the following, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

●900 feet of No. 4OT copper wire

●250 feet of No. 4 copper wire with heavy insulation

●Two No. 4 copper wire reels

●Miscellaneous Makita power tools

The cost of the items and damage are in excess of $3,800
