Marilyn graduated from Barneston High School in Barneston, Nebraska.  She started her career in banking in Lincoln, Nebraska.

In 1980, Marilyn began work as a teller at First National Bank of Beloit in Beloit, Kansas.  Over the years, her interest and dedication grew for banking. During this time Marilyn enjoyed attending all of their children’s sporting and school events, volunteering within the community such as school and local 4-H events, traveling with family and friends, and watching her children start families of their own.  Through Marilyn’s passion for quilting, she traveled and developed life long friends with whom she shared many laughs and created lasting memories.

Warren passed away in 2016 after 27 years of marriage. Within the next few years, Marilyn relocated to Council Grove, Kansas. She was able to fulfill her dream of lake living while making memories quilting and spending time with family and friends.
