The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating theft from and damage done to a storage facility east of Salina in the last few days.
Sometime between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, someone cut the fence in two places and cut two locks at Access Storage, 3484 Country Club Road, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning.
A Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw valued at $500 was taken from a storage unit rented by Patrick Kelly, 41, of Salina, Soldan said. A boat owned by Cody Pierson, 43, of Salina, that was stored at the facility, also was broken into. Soldan said a 3,500 watt Preditor generator valued at $951 was taken from the boat.
Additionally, $530 worth of damage was done to the fence and the two locks, Soldan said.
