After a first and eighth-place finish at the Nickerson regional a week ago, the Southeast of Saline track and field teams will gear up to compete at this year's state meet in Wichita.
While the boy's team does enter this year's meet at Cessna Stadium as the two-time defending state champs, a loaded regional has hampered their three-peat bid just a bit, and SES will be somewhat short-staffed when events begin this morning.
All-in-all, five boys and two girls will compete in the purple and white across 11 events, with the boy's team also taking part in the 4x8 and 4x400m relays.
Here is a quick look at who will represent SES and in what events on Friday and Saturday.
