A Salina man was arrested on requested battery and assault charges after incidents with three teenagers late Monday night.

Officers were sent to the 1200 block of Oak Circle at 11:30 p.m. Monday for the report of George Wagner, 45, of Salina, refusing to leave a residence from which he was banned, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

An 18-year-old woman at the residence heard a noise coming from one of the bedrooms and opened the door to find Wagner, who had been banned from the residence by another family member. The woman asked Wagner to leave, but he allegedly became upset and approached her in an aggressive manner, Forrester said. The woman grabbed a baseball bat to defend herself and a physical altercation ensued.

Forrester said the woman yelled to her 14-year-old brother for assistance. When the boy entered the room, Wagner allegedly was standing over the woman. Wagner then allegedly moved toward the boy in an aggressive manner, Forrester said.

The boy punched Wagner, who then ran from the house, Forrester added.

The woman's 19-year-old brother was on his way to the residence, as he had been told what was happening. Forrester said that the older brother knew that Wagner allegedly liked to park approximately a block away from the residence, so he went to that area to confront Wagner.

Wagner allegedly backed his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado into the older brother's 2009 Chevrolet pickup and then drove off, Forrester said.

The man followed Wagner in an attempt to get Wagner's tag number. In the 1200 block of Cloud Circle, Wagner allegedly slammed on his breaks, causing the man's pickup to strike his.

A short time later, officers located Wagner near his pickup in the 1400 block of Ponca Avenue. Forrester said the pickup had rear-end damage consistent with the incidents reported by the 19-year-old.

Wagner was arrested on the following requested charges, Forrester said.

●Numerous traffic violations

●Criminal trespassing

●Battery

●Assault

●Disorderly conduct

The 19-year-old's pickup sustained extensive front-end damage and had to be removed by a wrecker.
