STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Bowling's historic run in the NAIA Women's Bowling National Championship came to an end on Saturday morning as the Coyotes fell to SCAD Savannah in an elimination match.

The Coyotes were one of the final four teams remaining in the field of the National Championships.

After losing Friday's first round match-up in bracket play, the Coyotes fought their way back through the loser's bracket, and faced the Top Seed SCAD Savannah in the semifinal of the loser's bracket.

SCAD Savannah won the first two games, before the Coyotes rallied to win the third game. SCAD Savannah would win the fourth game to advance. The Bees would even up winning the NAIA National Championship, beating William Penn in the loser bracket final, then beating Midland twice to claim the red banner.

The run into the last four remaining teams was the best finish for the bowling program, men or women, at the NAIA National Championships, now in its third season as an official NAIA National Championship sport.
