Kurtis A. Hohl, 58, of Tescott, KS died at his home on January 23, 2021. He was born December 31, 1962 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Melvin O. and Lois V. (Schneider) Hohl.
Kurtis was a graduate of Pittsburg High School and spent most of his life in Pittsburg before moving to Tescott.
He was employed by Kansas State University, Salina, KS. Previously he was employed by Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS.
Kurtis was active in the LifeTrack Church before moving to Tescott.
Kurtis made many friends and never knew a stranger; he was active in doing a lot of cabinetry and remodeling work on the side and enjoyed every minute of it. Always commented about wanting more tools but he was mostly known for his love of Ice Cream. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his son Samuel Hohl of Arma, KS; brother Melvin J Hohl and his wife Della of Surprise, AZ; brother Neil Hohl of Surprise, AZ; sister Linnea Knisley and her husband Rick of Dewey, AZ.; niece Stefanie Cummings and her wife Christina of Surprise, AZ; a niece Amanda Knisley of Dewey, AZ; a niece Kirsten McCarthy and her husband Tyler of Phoenix, AZ; nephew J.J. Knisely of Prescott Valley, AZ; niece Seuris Hohl of Glendale, AZ; and great-niece Peyton Beesley of Prescott Valley, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents Melvin and Lois Hohl; and daughter Kara Hohl.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date and will be held in Pittsburg, KS. Memorial donations may be given to Kurtis Hohl Memorial Fund in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
