Curtis Eugene Rhea, 70, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 5:25 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his residence.
Curtis was born in McPherson, Kansas on November 18, 1952, a son of Alvina (Nightingale) and Vergial Edwin Rhea.
Through the years Curtis attended Moundridge grade school, Moundridge Middle School and Moundridge High School, Moundridge, Kansas. He then attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Through the years Curtis worked for Midwest Industries in McPherson as a production worker.
Curtis enjoyed remote control planes, models, gardening, yard work, his dogs and spending time with friends and family.
Curtis Eugene Rhea was united in marriage to Dena Sue Trindale on Oct. 1, 1971. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of three sons, Timothy, Heath and Brian.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Dena Rhea, of McPherson, Kansas; his children Heath Rhea, of McPherson, Kansas and Brian Rhea and his wife Lillian, of McPherson, Kansas. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Josh, Luke and Olivia Grace.
Curtis is proceeded in death by his parents; his son Timothy Rhea; grandson Austin Rhea and daughter-in-law Tracy Rhea.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Chapel in McPherson, Kansas.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Chapel in McPherson, Kansas with Chaplain LeNora Duerksen officiating.
