Salina's Dick Brown named grand marshal for fair parade

A man with strong ties to both the community and the Tri-Rivers Fair will lead the 2021 fair parade down Santa Fe Avenue on Tuesday.

Dick Brown has been named the 2021 Tri-Rivers Fair Parade grand marshal.

"Barn to be Wild" is the theme of the 2021 Tri-Rivers Fair Parade, which is scheduled to to begin at 7 p.m. at Elm Street and N. Santa Fe Avenue. The parade will roll down Santa Fe Avenue and conclude at the intersection with Prescott Avenue.

Not only was Brown a Saline County 4-Her in his youth, but he also has served on the Tri-Rivers Fair Board, including as board president.

Retired from his family's company, Smoky Hill Construction, Brown also has volunteered with a number of community organizations.
