Ronald D. Early, 81, of Ottawa. Kansas, passed away at his home on February 26, 2024, he was born December 28, 1942 in Missouri Norborne, Missouri. The son of Clyde Early, and Agnes (Andrew’s) Early. He grew up and attended school in the Rockingham community. 

Ronald worked as a bridge Forman and retired from the Clarkson Company in Kansas City, Missouri. 

He was united in marriage to Sheila Early on December 4, 1967 in Hardin, Missouri. They shared over 47 years of marriage before Sheila’s passing on July 28, 2015. 

Ronald enjoyed golfing, drinking beer, and playing pool. He loved to watch his western shows on TV, especially Gunsmoke. He had a smile that could light up everything. He loved all of his family and always made sure they always had what they needed. He will be very missed by so many people.

 A poem from his late daughter, Ronda Watson,

“If I ever need you, I’ll look to the stars above, knowing you’re out there, feeling your love, nobody on earth is more important than you, it’s always your faith that pulls me through, you deserve the sky and every star in it, for the person you are, your kindness, and will, if I could go back I wouldn’t change a thing, I realized you’re my sun when all I see is rain.” 

Mr. Early was proceeded in death by his parents, Clyde and Agnes Early; his wife, Sheila Early; and daughter Ronda Watson. 

Surviving family includes, son-in-law, Jeremy Watson, and granddaughters, Hayley Harlan, Kylie Minerd, Nevaeh Watson, Kyndzie Watson, Korrina Watson, Emberly Watson of Ottawa, Kansas and Hannah Harlan of Overland Park, Kansas; four grandsons, Codie Prochaska, Colton Watson, Evan Watson, and Jordan Watson and his spouse Rhyan Watson of Ottawa Kansas; and four great-grandchildren Jaylynn, Tatum, Evelynn, and Ryker; and brother Farrell Early of Missouri. 

 A graveside service and inurnment will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at Hope Cemetery, 100 W. 2nd Street, Ottawa, KS 66067. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067.
