According to Saline County Attorney John Reynolds, he has filed charges against Salina Animal Shelter managers, Monique Hawley and Andrea Murphy on Thursday.

Reynolds told Salina Post Thursday afternoon, he filed 3 requested charges of Animal Cruelty on Hawley and Murphy, for the reported euthanasia procedures done on three puppies with parvovirus back on December 2025.

Furthermore, Reynolds said he is requiring both of them to appear in court on Friday for the requested charges. If they don't, then a warrant will be put out for their arrest.

He also stated a press release will be issued soon regarding this matter.

Salina Post will provide updates as we continue to follow this developing story.
