After a multi-month investigation, a Salina man was arrested Monday afternoon on a requested charge of rape in connection with an alleged incident with a 14-year-old girl.

In January, it was alleged that Raymond L. Isom, 41, of Salina, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

Upon completion of the investigation, the Salina Police Department sought an arrest warrant for Isom on a requested charge of rape. He was arrested at a residence in the 100 block of W. Republic Avenue, Forrester said. Isom was booked into the Saline County Jail Monday afternoon, according to the jail booking report.
