Kansas Wesleyan's Mika Wernicke has been selected as the KCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts for the Coyotes last week.

KCAC Players of the Week are selected for their performances during the last week by a vote of sports information directors within the conference. The KCAC Player of the Week program is presented at the conference level by Equity Bank.

Wernicke was excellent defensively for the Coyotes in a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Hastings College last week. The Coyotes limited Hastings to just four shots in the match.

Wernicke also scored the game-winning goal for the Coyotes, netting a direct kick from 40 yards out in the 70th minute to put KWU up 2-1.
