SALINA - Daniel M. Diaz, 68, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. He was born in Stamford, TX to Macario Diaz and Ruperta Diaz-Martinez.
Growing up, Daniel enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved to tinker on cars and anything else he could get his hands on. He was a dedicated Schwan’s Company employee for 41 years. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and was a Bruce Lee fan. Above all he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Macario Diaz; and son, Damon Joel Diaz.
He is survived by his children, Kathryn Diaz-Dunn (Derek) of Salina and Damion Diaz of Utah; mother, Ruperta Diaz-Martinez; brothers, Herman Diaz and Michael Diaz (Dawn) all of Salina; sisters, Elizabeth Collins (Mike) of San Antonio and Clara Jewell (Mike) of Wichita; grandchildren, Taylor Cox (Kyle), Tanner Clovis (Caylie), Brittani Sims, Zach Sims, Dallas Dunn, Addison Sims, Mackenzie Sims; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rhett Cox and Oliver Clovis; 12 nieces and nephews; and 22 great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Salina Senior Center.
