Next Community Health Seminar to explore firearms

Firearms will be the topic of the next Community Health Seminar.

The seminar is scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the second floor meeting room of the Ashby House Central Office, 142 S. Seventh Street.

Commander Bill Cooke from the Saline County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol and Rescue Squad is scheduled to lead the discussion that will include the following subjects.

Know Your Firearms

Safety First

Kansas Law Concerning Use of Firearms

Cooke has been an NRA Basic Pistol and Kansas Conceal Carry instructor for more than five years.

Participants are encouraged to take donations for Ashby House with them to the seminar.
