Sacred Heart team places first at FHSU Math Relays

When you add it all up, Sacred Heart math students did quite well at the 43rd annual Fort Hays State Math Relays Thursday.

According to a news release from the school, the 15 students competing for Sacred Heart brought home the following.

Five first-place finishes

Four second-place finishes

Four third-place finishes

One fourth-place finish

Two fifth-place finishes

Two sixth-place finishes

Those finishes earned the students a school-record 100.5 points and a first-place trophy in the Class 2A-3A category. Additionally, the Sacred Heart students were second overall among all classes. A total of 41 schools were entered in the competition.
