Inoperable SUV stolen from property in Gypsum

GYPSUM - The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of an inoperable SUV from Gypsum.

Author Cathey, 37, of Gypsum, told deputies that sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday, someone stole an inoperable white 2000 Ford Excursion from his property, Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander said this morning.

The SUV had a Kansas license plate of 351GPE and was valued at $2,500.

Melander asked that anyone who might have noticed the vehicle being towed or transported to contact the sheriff's office at (785) 826-6500.
