⚽️ Coyote MSOC cruises to 4-1 win over Swedes

LINDSBORG - Two quick first half goals set the tone for the Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team as the Coyotes cruised to a 4-1 win over the Bethany Swedes on Wednesday night.

It was the fifth minute when the Coyotes scored first, a goal by Brennen Lamont assisted by Simon Fischer. Fischer sent a long ball from the back over the top to Lamont who tracked down the ball and scored far post for the goal.

In the 11th minute Seth Flores sent a ball from the left side into the box to Noel Zimbeva who sent it home to make it 2-0.

KWU held a 2-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Coyotes were on the board again quickly. On a set piece corner, Gonzalo Gaubecka sent the ball into the box. It was knocked around a few times by several players before landing at the feet of Fischer who scored it.

In the 55th minute, the Coyotes got a second goal by Zimbeva, this time on a penalty kick.

Bethany got a late goal to break the shutout from Steven McQueen in the 88th minute.

KWU outshot Bethany 26-6 in the match. Zimbeva led the way with six shots.

Shae Wirt played just over 75 minutes in goal with one save. Angel Navarrete made his season debut for the Coyotes playing the final 15 minutes with a save.
