Police arrest Salina man on requested charge of aggravated criminal threat

A Salina man was arrested after he allegedly made multiple threats to shoot up a north Salina business and its employees.

Officers were sent to Twin Oaks, 2001 W. Grand, on Monday for the report of a man with firearms in his vehicle who had threatened to shoot up the business, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

A Twin Oaks employee told police that on Wednesday, Derrick Pruett, 29, of Salina, had allegedly made threats of shooting everyone at the business. On Friday, similar threats allegedly were made to other co-workers, Forrester noted. Pruett was employed at Twin Oaks.

On Monday, officers arrested Pruett at the business. According to Forrester, a firearm was found in Pruett's vehicle.

Pruett was arrested on the following requested charges, Forrester noted.
