A town of about 7,600 people is currently recovering after a devastating tornado ripped through this month and CES Systems of Salina is helping the cause.

When an EF-4 tornado that killed 19 people on May 16th in London, KY, BSL Locksmith and Security (from London) quickly placed a Defender Security Trailer to stand guard the area from any criminal activity. (This trailer is meant to provide temporary or ongoing security, which offers video surveillance, lighting and reduces criminal activity).

However once the placement of the security trailer took place, London, KY Sheriff John Root stated during a press conference that the city needed more trailers. This was because there were reports of an increase of looting occurring in London after the tornado.

BSL Locksmith and Security thought to contact CES Systems to solve the issue.

According to BSL CEO Chris Webb, they have a strong relationship with CES. He stated that they both have worked with each other and bought trailers from CES in the past.

The will to help

When CES was contacted by BSL, they requested CES to send a couple of Defender Security Trailers. CES agreed to send the trailers and a citizen from London, drove to Salina for about a 30 plus hour round-trip to pick them up and take them back.

President of CES Lloyd Wharton stated that when they found out a London citizen was making the trip to Salina to pickup the trailers, they did not hesitate to help.

"When he arrived, we simply got the two defenders loaded up and got him back on the road," said Wharton. "He was actually pretty happy to get the trailers and bring them back to London. We actually loaded the trailers with him at around 1:00 am when he arrived, and I thought that was really cool to be honest."

According to Wharton, a Defender Security Trailer acts as an "eye in the sky" by helping law enforcement keep tabs on any criminal activity that may happen. The trailer is set up with cameras, monitoring and detection systems, speakers, Ai analytics and solar panels (to store energy), running as a 24/7, real time security detection system.

Now, the city of London has two defender security trailers thanks to CES Systems of Salina. BSL Locksmith and Security co-branded CES System's defender security trailers when they arrived.

"These trailers are a big asset to what is going on," said Webb. "I appreciate CES Systems, because what they did was more than a blessing. The community loves it and the Sheriff's Office here is more than grateful."

Sheriff Root expressed his gratitude for the gifting of the trailers and thanked CES Systems on a Facebook post.

"We are happy to help the London community in however we can to fulfill their safety and security needs during these times," said Wharton.

"It's the little things that count," said Webb.
