A teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident early this morning in west Salina.
Allie Hecker, 19, of Salina, was westbound in the 1700 block of West Crawford Street at approximately 3:50 a.m. Wednesday when the 2000 Mitsubishi Galant she was driving struck the north curb, causing the front passenger tire to go flat, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. Hecker overcorrected and struck a sign while entering the parking lot of Taco Bell, 1700 West Crawford Street, he noted.
Hecker blacked out after the accident and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center for a minor head injury, Forrester explained.
She was cited for inappropriate driving on laned roadways, he reported.
The Galant suffered front end damage and was towed from the scene, Forrester added.
