Rosemary Eva (Rosie Beach) Cowan passed away October 22, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Hays, Kansas, on February 22, 1941, to Glenn and Eva Beach of WaKeeney, Kansas.
Following graduation from WaKeeney High School, she attended and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan College in Salina. She married Wendell Cowan in 1962 then moved to Bennington where she taught music in the school system for three years.
A move to Wichita resulted in the birth of two sons. The next move was to Whitewater, Kansas, where she taught kindergarten for the next 21 years. She retired in 1997. Her final move after her husband retired from teaching was to Lucas, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband Wendell of 63 years, by their first son Stanley (Sherry) Cowan and their two sons Sawyer and Samson and a daughter Sydney, and by their second son Steven (Missie) Cowan and their two daughters Grace and Joy, and son Grant.
Rosie is also survived by a sister Barbara Mace and a brother Ray Beach.
