Linda Sue Siebold, 68, passed Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Ks, following a short battle with Covid-19. Linda was born on July 10, 1952, in a Clifton, KS doctor’s office, daughter of Ernest “Mike” Meitzen and Irene (Forkner) Hillman.  She was the youngest of three siblings.

She grew up in the Clifton, KS area and later moved to Concordia, KS where she graduated high school in 1970. She went on to obtain her teaching degree from Fort Hays State University in 1975. She married Thomas “Tommy” Siebold on May 27, 1978. They made their home near Clifton, KS, where Linda was a 3rd grade teacher until moving to Clay Center in 1981. She was a part time substitute teacher, secretary, clerk, and finished her career at Kansas State University retiring in 2014. She has been a lifelong member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing and playing her guitar in the praise band.

Linda was considered a mom to many kids growing up as the location of the family home became grand central station in her kids junior and senior high school days.  Aside from her family, one of her most precious gifts came in March 2018 when she received a kidney transplant.  The transplant greatly improved her quality of life over the last two years as she no longer had to have dialysis 3 times a week.  Since her health had improved so much, her and her husband Tommy were able to travel around on bus tours seeing different places and going to many KC Royals games.

Linda loved following her granddaughter, Addy’s twirling competitions and her grandson Rylan’s ball games. No matter where she was, she was their #1 fan. On a calm day she would accompany her husband Tommy on fishing excursions so that they could spend time together. In the fall of 2018, she attended the American Christian Fiction Writers Conference in Nashville and achieved her dream of becoming a published author of the Contessa of Montaire series. She was working hard to finish book #6 in the series preparing for it’s debut in December 2020. She lived a life of love, always had a smile, and was a very proud grandma. She loved her kids dearly and would always go out of her way for her husband Tommy, kids, grandkids, and her kitty “Dingo”.  One of her favorite quotes is “God is good ALL the time, and ALL the time, God is Good.”

Linda leaves her loved ones behind but they can be comforted by her faith in Jesus.  She knew where she was going and was not afraid.
