Police are investigating an incident in which $2,000 worth of damage was done to two cars parked in the 400 block of South Connecticut Avenue.
Two women, a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old, told police that sometime between midnight and 1 p.m. on Monday, someone damaged their cars while they were parked in the 400 block of South Connecticut Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
A 2016 Ford Fiesta had a dent in the back driver's side door and a shoe print on the door as well, he noted. Damage was estimated at $1,000. Additionally, a 2012 Toyota Camry had passenger rear quarter panel damage with white paint transfer and the taillight lens was broken, he reported. Damage to the Camry also was estimated at $1,000.
The two women told police that the night prior to their cars being damaged, they had a confrontation with several other women who were wanting to fight, according to Forrester.
