LINCOLN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Wednesday in Lincoln County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Buick Verano driven by John A. Hunter, 75, Easton, Pennsylvania, was westbound on Interstate 70 at 290th Road. The driver fell asleep. The car drifted off the right side of the roadway, vaulted off the embankment and landed on 290th road.
EMS transported Hunter and a passenger Dorian R. Taylor, 50, Crofton, Maryland to Salina Regional Health Center. Both were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
