Layton, Hammond latest USD 305 Teachers of the Year

Salina USD 305 today announced its Teachers of the Year.

Tina Layton, a fourth grade teacher at Meadowlark Ridge Elementary School, and Melanie Hammond, a science teacher at South High School will represent USD 305 in the Kansas Teacher of the Year program, according to information on the USD 305 website.

Each year two teachers are nominated for the Kansas Teacher of the Year program. The awards are sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education and affiliated with the National Teacher of the Year program.
