Ronda R. Howard, 74, Bennington, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born Ronda R. Werner on July 4, 1951, in Salina to Harold (Sam) and Vivian (Vaupel) Werner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; 

Ronda was a graduate of Bennington High School. She and Leonard “Bud” Howard were united in marriage on February 28, 1976. She served on the Bennington City Council and also as mayor. 

Ronda worked many jobs in her lifetime, including Tony's Pizza, the Bennington Cafe, the Bennington Post Office, and Farmers and Ranchers Livestock. Many people remember her smile when she worked at the gas station in Bennington. She was also a volunteer dispatcher with the Bennington Fire Department for many years. Outside of work, she was known to always be willing to lend a hand when needed, from taking elaborate meals to the harvest field, to making her famous Tex-Mex dip for every potluck, to pet-sitting, she was always willing to help. Ronda also was willing to go to great lengths for her daughter. 

She drove to countless volleyball and basketball games, picked up giggling groups of pre-teen girls after the late-night sock hops at the skating rink in Salina, and supported her through the good times and bad.Ronda had such a beautifully caring and nurturing spirit. 

Her deep love for animals shone through in the way she tended to the many dogs, cats, goats, horses, and various other animals that Nikki brought home that blessed her life over the years. Strays tended to know just how to find her, knowing they would be loved and spoiled. To her, they were never just pets; they were family, each one held close in her heart.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; 

She was preceded in death by her parents and countless pets that were all so happy to greet her at the Rainbow Bridge.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; 

Survivors are her husband, Bud; daughter, Nikki Sutton and husband, Shanon and their 4 fur babies; and siblings, Kevin Werner and wife, Stephanie, Elden Werner and wife, Ruth, and Janet Werner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 13 at the United Church of Bennington. Attendees are invited to wear purple and blue jeans.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Susan Ann Englert, 70, of Salina, Kansas, passed away at home on February 7th, 2026.

Born in Peterborough, England on September 20, 1955, Susan grew up in the San Diego area, where she met her husband, Ed, before settling in Salina. She was a loving mother to her son and a devoted foster parent through OCCK. Her kindness extended beyond her family, always lending a listening ear to friends or a stranger she met at the thrift store. Professionally, Susan was a jack of all trades, working as a clerk at Kmart and Office Max, a dental assistant in 2009, a butcher, and a house cleaner before her retirement.

Anyone who knew her knew she loved the ocean. As a creative, she enjoyed crafting and sewing. But above all, Susan cherished her family, who brought her endless joy. She was a faithful member of Kingdom Hall.

She is preceded in death by her father Ralph C. Miesen; stepfather, Ben Goss; grandmother, Helen Hulshezer; sister-in-law, Esther McMurtrie; daughter-in-law, Paige Englert; and mother, Chris Waller.

Surviving family members include her husband of 47 years, Ed Englert; son, Tony Englert (Paige) of Salina, KS; grandson, Sean Englert (Ashley) and their children, Ariana and Kyler of Wichita, KS; grandson, Kyle Englert (Ashley) and their children, Azaria and Jakobi of Wichita, KS; granddaughter, Madison Englert of Austin, TX; sister, Tammy Leiker (John) of Ellis, KS; sister, Laura Arbogast (John) of Josephine, TX; brother, Rick Goss of Spokane, WA; in-laws, Carol Dindinger of Charles Town, WV; Karen and Paul Dexter of Trimble, MO; Vaughn McMurtrie of Hays, KS; Chris and Jeff Schlyer of Hays, KS; Kelly and Kelly Englert of Mansfield, TX; stepfather, Walt Waller of Ellis, KS; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Una Kay Larson Blankenship of McPherson, Kansas passed away peacefully, February 11, 2026, in the presence of family.&nbsp; She was born February 3, 1941 in McPherson to the late Elmer Erick and Amy Ruth Marcella (Ledell) Larson. Una was the first child born into this family. She was married to Donald Ray Blankenship on April 9, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Kansas. Una was a lifelong Lutheran, being baptized and confirmed at Trinity.

Una Kay attended Hilton Grade School and then the consolidated, Sunny Slope Grade School. Una graduated from McPherson High School in 1959. It was during her high school years that she met, dated and eventually married the love of her life, Don. Una worked as a secretary at Strouse’s and Trinity Lutheran Church before they started their family. The couple was blessed with two children, Jeffery Scott and Kenneth Gene. Besides being an attentive mother to the boys, she spent years being Don’s secretary, planner, and dispatcher during his working years in the oil business. To get away from Don’s job demands, they took up camping, a recreational activity they thoroughly enjoyed. In the last few years, she volunteered at Apartment 6 at the McPherson Opera House. She was a spirited and opinionated woman plus a bit persnickety, but listened intently and respected others. She enjoyed beautiful things and this taste was expressed in her home. She was proud of her Swedish roots and really took pleasure in family gatherings and entertaining on Sunday game nights.

Una was a loving and devoted wife of sixty-four years, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear relative and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Gus and Esther Blankenship, and infant brother-in-law. She is survived by her husband; sons Jeff and Ken (fiancé Jane); brother Richard (Deana); brother Robert (Jolene); and sister Janet (Richard). She had two grandsons, Christopher (Katie) and Connor (Beth); six great-grandsons, Brayden, Kelley, Craigg, Nathen, Archie and Viggo; and one great-great-grandson, Malachi.

Visitation will be Monday, February 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stockham Family Funeral Home.&nbsp; The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Peter Rehwaldt officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery. &nbsp;

Sherry Reusch, age 82 (by just a few days), peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones. She had lived at Nicol Home in Glasco, KS for the last 5 years to the exact date.Sherry was born on February 5, 1944 to Frank (Spike) and Bonnie Hall. She was the oldest of three siblings. She was raised on an acreage in Fairbury, Nebraska. She dearly loved her childhood and told stories about it forever.

In 1965 , she married Rodney Reusch to which 3 children were born: Geof, Tracy, and Terri.

Sherry worked at a variety of places but her heart belonged to anything to do with playing the piano. She played for too numerous events to count. Some of those included church, weddings, funerals, musicals, high school choirs, etc. She also taught piano lessons for many years. When people complimented her on how wonderfully she played, she was always very humble about it which in turn made her a good role model. We remember her telling us many times “Don’t toot your own horn” as she was appalledby braggarts. She felt that her piano playing was a gift from God not to be taken lightly, which was how she gained the nickname “Magic Fingers.”One of the greatest gifts she gave us was to be our mother. She was the best mother we could have asked for. She set an example of how to treat people and she expected us to follow that.Over the years, she endured many health related challenges. In spite of that, she chose to focus on the well being of others instead of herself.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Kent. She is survived by her children Geof (Susan) of St. Louis, MO, Tracy (Jeff) Travis of Beloit, KS, and Terri (Mark) Headrick of Concordia, KS.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren (Joseph, Geoffrey, Faith Elise, Taylor, Makenzie, Dane, and Parker.) Also left to mourn her passing is her brother Wayne M.Hall, Brigadier General, US Army, Retired. She also leaves her special friend John and her best friend Bonnie Jantzen of 74 years who has been there throughout her whole journey.There are also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will dearly miss her.

A special heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Nicol Home. We couldn’t have asked for better care. You guys went over and beyond for her. Austin Daniel Beagel, 32, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home.&nbsp;

He was born September 18, 1993, in Marysville, Kansas, the son of Kimberly A. Mapes and Randall L. Beagel. Austin attended McPherson and Canton-Galva schools.&nbsp;

Austin was employed as a rotator/tow truck operator for Auto House Towing &amp; Recovery in Galva. In the words of his employer, Chris Unruh, Austin was a team player and was always willing to help out even if it wasn’t in his regular job description.&nbsp; He won several awards because of his outstanding service.&nbsp; Austin even taught several of the other operators a lot of what he had learned through the years.&nbsp;

He enjoyed fishing, camping, weightlifting, and watching movies, but nothing brought him more joy than his daughter, Braelynn. She was the light of his life and the center of his world. Austin was an incredible father and a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with those he loved. Family was everything to him, and his love for them was evident in all that he did.

Survivors include: his mother, Kimberly Carlson; daughter, Braelynn Beagel; brother, Nathan Beagel; grandmother, Betty Stohs (Donald); step-daughter, Harlee Clement; uncle &amp; aunts, Chris (Lora), Vida, Darline, Kay, and Gwen; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Beagel; daughter, Jailei; mother of Jailei, Taren (Willoughby) Clement; and aunts &amp; uncles, Penny Erskin, Donnie Beagel, Joey John, and David Mapes.

A visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Robert Frederick Frobenius II (“Bob”) was born June 5, 1945, in Denver, Colorado and passed&nbsp;away on February 4, 2026, in Salina, Kansas.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Frobenius (née Sapp); his sons, Dr. Robert Frobenius&nbsp;III (Stacie) and Anton Frobenius (April); and his grandchildren, Ethan Frobenius and Elliot&nbsp;Frobenius. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alta Frobenius (née Swisher) and Robert&nbsp;Frederick Frobenius, Sr., and by his brother, James Frobenius.&nbsp;Bob devoted much of his life to service and the care of others. He served as a deputy with the

Saline County Sheriff’s Office, later as an officer with the Derby Police Department, and&nbsp;worked in security with Boeing. In time, Bob became a funeral director and the owner of&nbsp;Roselawn Mortuary and Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, a calling he carried with dignity&nbsp;and compassion.&nbsp;Bob had a spark—opinionated, candid, and full of emotion. He could be difficult at times, but&nbsp;it was never from indifference. He lived with his heart on his sleeve, loved fiercely, and&nbsp;remained deeply family oriented. Even through difficult later years, he kept a zest for life and a&nbsp;drive to learn, always reaching for understanding and knowledge. Bob loved working with people, time in nature, and learning for learning’s sake. He had a deep interest in genealogy and spent countless hours researching the background of his family tree. He traveled extensively, including through humanitarian interests, and remained curious about people’s stories and the wider world. He also enjoyed shooting sports and the discipline and focus they require.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 13 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with family present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. &nbsp;Service will be Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel, with food following&nbsp;graveside.

Heide was born in Wurzburg, Germany on September 19, 1956, a daughter of the late Brunhilde (Guder) and Steve Garman.

She lived with a fun, gentle spirit and a kindness that never wavered. She helped anyone who needed her, and her door was always open to friends, family, and strangers alike.

Survivors include her two sons, &nbsp;Juanito Ymballa (Keri), of Minneapolis, Kansas, Tafaomaleuatogi Garman (Bonnie), of Salina, Kansas; and 10 grandchildren, Tafao Jr., Jarret, Jordan, Halia, Liana, Lane, Avery, Isabel, Wyatt, Emilia.Heide is also survived by four sisters, Petra Craddock, of Salina, Kansas, &nbsp;Margrit Ballenger (Mark), of Centerville, Iowa, &nbsp;Hannelore Hemmy (Jerry), of Salina, Kansas, Paulette Guzman (Tony), of Maize, Kansas; two brothers, Steve Garman, of Salina, Kansas, and Alex Garman (Jennifer), of Lamar, Arkansas.

He grew up in Barnard and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 and Fort Hays State College in 1976. David spent over 40 years in the cement industry working first for Quartzite Stone Company and then for Ash Grove Cement Company. He also farmed and ranched in the Barnard, KS area. David married Marla Troeger in 1974, and together they raised three sons in Barnard. David died on February 7, 2026, of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 72.

Left to celebrate his life are his father Bob Abell of Barnard; wife Marla of Barnard; sons, Justin (Anne) of Minneapolis, KS, Jeremy (Jenny) of Barnard, and Ryan (Kim) of Union, NE; seven grandchildren, Joel, Jaylee, Reece, Lane, Kamdyn, Kelson, and Mila Abell; and siblings, Monte (Jacque) of Phillipsburg, KS, Leesa Frederking (Ron) of Sylvan Grove, KS, Mark (Roberta) of Minneapolis, and Brett of Barnard. David Ramon Abell

Esther Ruth Beaushaw, the daughter of Frederick Orion Pickle and Elizabeth Jane (Elliott) Pickle, was born in Onaga, Kansas, on September 22, 1924. She passed away at the Nicol Home in Glasco, Kansas, on February 4, 2026, at the age of 101 years old.

As a child, she lived with her parents in Onaga, Wheaton, and Frankfort, Kansas, until 1930, when the family moved to Jamestown, where she spent most of the rest of her life. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1942.

Soon after graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and found a job in a Woolworths Store as a clerk in the candy department. She came home at Christmas in 1942, and remained to help her mother for several months. Later in 1943, she moved to Wichita, Kansas, and babysat for a couple who worked shifts at a factory making products for World War II. In 1944, she made her way to Manhattan, Kansas, where she worked in a nursing home doing laundry and a creamery sorting eggs. She stayed in Manhattan after the war was over; she met her first husband, Charles Lewis, at a USO dance. They would marry in her parents’ home in Jamestown and have a daughter, Gloria Jeanette in 1947. The marriage ended in divorce.

She met her second husband, Merrill Beaushaw through a blind date set up by mutual friends. They married on September 18, 1949, in Jamestown. To this marriage was born Marylin Kay in 1950 and Karen Elizabeth in 1954.

Esther spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her three girls. She also worked at the Jamestown Cheyenne Lodge Nursing Home in housekeeping, the Jamestown Public Library as a librarian, and as an Avon salesperson. She and her husband enjoyed traveling with their camper. She was a lifetime member of the Rebekahs, the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Arthur and Don, her sisters, Martha, Myrtle, Elaine, and Agnes, her husband, Merrill, her daughter, Karen, a son-in-law Buddy Coss, and a grandson, Monte Dan Bean II.

Linda Lou Norton, 77, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born in Newton, Kansas, on April 2, 1948, to Bonnie Arlene (Grabill) and Warren Wade Carlton.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tracy, wife of Wayne Rohleder, of Manhattan, Kansas, Tina Blundred of Salina, Kansas; her son, Tony Norton of Gypsum, Kansas; and her brother, Robert, husband of Christine Carlton, of Arkansas.Linda is also survived by her grandchildren, April Norton, Caitlyn Larson, Trinity Kaiser (Chase), Tristan Blundred, Madison Norton, Kaile Black, Chase Davis, and Brayson Young; as well as her great-grandchildren, Liam Munson, Kanden Norton, Paisley Norton, Quade West, Sterling Kaiser, and Preston Kaiser.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandchild, Sydnie Norton.

Cremation has been chosen, and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, at Highland Cemetery in Newton, Kansas.

Linda Lou Norton

Philip Wade Hardman, 69, of Osborne, Kansas, passed away on December 25, 2025.

He was born on August 21, 1956, the third son of Dr. Dennis Hardman and Lila Hardman. He grew up in Smith Center, Kansas, where he attended Smith Center Public Schools and graduated from Smith Center High School in 1974.

After high school, Philip joined his two older brothers at the University of Kansas. There, he became a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. A devoted Jayhawk, he graduated in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He continued his education at Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, earning his law degree in 1981.

While in law school, Philip met Debra Whitehair in 1980. The two were married on August 8, 1981, in Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus, beginning a marriage that would span more than four decades.

In September 1981, Philip accepted an offer to join the law practice of Dallas Cordill in Osborne, Kansas. That move brought the couple to the community that would become their lifelong home. In January 1985, he formed a partnership with Richard Dietz, establishing Dietz &amp; Hardman, a professional relationship that remained a great source of pride throughout his career. The firm expanded in December 2002 with the opening of a second office in Smith Center. Philip practiced law for 41 years, retiring in 2022 after a distinguished legal career.

In addition to his private practice, Philip served his community in numerous professional and civic roles, including serving as USD 392 School Board Attorney, Osborne City Attorney from 2009 to 2022, and a member of the Osborne Public Library Board for 10 years. He helped establish the local chapter of Pheasants Forever and was a committed supporter of the University of Kansas Honors Program for more than 30 years.

Philip and Deb welcomed their son, Bailor Lee Hardman, in January 1986, and their daughter, Sloane Selbe Hardman, in May 1990. Becoming a father was one of the great privileges of his life. He took deep pride in his children and found tremendous joy in watching them grow into the people they are today.

Philip lived life with curiosity, loyalty‌ and enthusiasm. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved the Rocky Mountains and was a skilled skier, often calling the family condo in Snowmass, Colorado, and the slopes it served, his favorite place on earth. Music was another constant in his life. He built an extensive collection and enjoyed seeing live concerts whenever he could.

He generously gave his time to youth athletics. He coached T-Ball and Pee Wee baseball, and later umpired K-18 and American Legion baseball. He coached Osborne High School tennis for 20 seasons, 19 with the girls team and one with the boys. He also led a summer recreation tennis program, taking particular satisfaction in introducing young people to a sport they could carry with them for life.

Philip loved the outdoors, especially pheasant and quail hunting, and was a longtime member of the Osborne Gun Club. Over the years, he shared that passion with his beloved German Shorthaired Pointers, whose companionship in the field—and at home—brought him great joy. He was an avid reader and was rarely without a book in hand. A lifelong student of politics, he welcomed thoughtful discussion with anyone willing to engage. He was also a proud and regular blood donor, quietly giving back in a way that reflected his deep sense of civic responsibility.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Lila Hardman and Dr. Dennis Hardman. He is survived by his wife, Debra Hardman; his son, Dr. Bailor Hardman (Enya); his daughter, Sloane Hardman (Cliff Ewert); his grandson, Vaughn Ewert; his brothers, John Hardman and Jim Hardman (Grayson); his niece, Shannon&nbsp;Weissleder;&nbsp;his nephew, Ian Hardman (Alana); his great-nephews, Story Hardman, Henley Hardman, and Reid Weissleder; his great-niece, Rhea Weissleder; his aunt, Donna Hallewell (John Anthony); and several cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sims Center, 109 W. Main St., Osborne, Kansas. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at the Sims Center, followed by lunch.

Roger Dale Besher, born on August 7, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, was the son of the late Floyd and Mary Lucille Besher. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the age of 80.&nbsp;

He is survived by son Jeff Besher (wife Laura and sons Kyler and Kayden) of Salina, KS, daughter Brandi Besher of Orlando, FL, son Roger Besher Jr. (son Brandon and daughter Shannon) of Colorado, and sister Melody Keith of North Carolina, as well as cousins and some extended family.&nbsp;

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Ann Besher, newborn son Rodney Besher, and brothers Bruce and Timothy.&nbsp;

He loved in simple, lasting ways, showing up, staying late, carrying more than his share. Now he rests beyond our sight, but in every kindness, every small grace, he remains with us, always.

Memorial services will be held at Grace Baptist Church (400 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401) at 11am on February 16, 2026 followed by a luncheon at an off-site location.&nbsp;

Cecil Leroy Brewster, of Salina, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026.&nbsp; He was born on March 17, 1948, in Norfolk,k Nebraska to George W. Brewster and Jean M.(Nelson) Brewster, the second of 4 children. &nbsp;The family moved a lot , from Norfolk Nebraska to West Plains Missouri to Carthage Missouri, back to Norfolk, then to O’Neill Nebraska, back to Norfold, then to Lexington Nebraska. From there to Hood River Oregon and then to Page Nebraska, Brunswick Nebraska, and then Albion, Nebraska.

He was a 1967 graduate of Albion High School. &nbsp;He enlisted in the Army after graduation and after basic training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri was sent to Germany as a member of an infantry company for the remainder of his 4 year enlistment.

Cecil was a kind person whose life centered around his family. &nbsp;He was hard working and often worked more than one job in order to support his family. &nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his father George Brewster, his mother Jean Brewster, his brother Richard Brewster and his sister Louise Brewster. He is survived by his remaining brother Larry Brewster of Gautier, Mississippi, his wife Velma and children.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Roselawn Cemetery.

Jeanette Myers, age 85, passed peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Salina, Kansas. Born on December 27, 1940, in Denver, Colorado, Jeanette lived a life defined by love, service, resilience, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Jeanette was the beloved wife of Sidney Ralph Myers, and together they built a life rooted in faith, friendship, and unwavering support for one another. She was a devoted mother to Cindy Lynn Jensen and Tod Allen Myers (Angela Myers), and a proud grandmother to Danielle Jensen (Derek Jensen) Zach Jensen (Kelsey Jensen), Brandon Jensen, Chelsea Wiggins (Nick Wiggins), Seth Myers (Rebekah Myers), Allie Myers, Shea Myers (Logan Driscoll), Capri Myers, and Remi Myers. Her joy multiplied through her great-grandchildren: Paisley Jensen, Reed Jensen, Pyper Jensen, Beau Wiggins, Gracelyn Wiggins, Noah Wiggins, Charlotte Jensen, Leighton Jensen, Arya Myers, Ava Myers, Kade Myers, and Roe Driscoll.

She is also survived by her sister, Linette Winsler. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents,Vern C. Bellatti and Frances L. Page.

Jeanette graduated from Junction City High School and later earned certified training in Database&nbsp;Management. She worked as a Data Analyst at Central Kansas Cooperative in Education, where she was known for her dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic.

Beyond her professional life, Jeanette lived fully and passionately. She was active in the community,&nbsp;including her involvement in Punching Out Parkinson’s classes. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit&nbsp;— sewing, bridge, puzzles, reading, roller skating, exercise, boating, and skiing filled her days with joy&nbsp;and movement.

Jeanette was a peacemaker, a caregiver, and a friend to all. She embodied kindness, resilience, curiosity for life, and a spunky, joyful energy that touched everyone who knew her. Above all, she was a devoted and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — the heart of her family and a steady source of love and strength.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, KS 67401. Cremation has been chosen.

Jeanette’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she nurtured, the love she gave freely, and the example she set through a life of compassion, strength, and grace. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Alice Jo Campbell, 79, Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 23, 1946, in Salina to Dewey and Virginia (Ringquist) Barr.

          Alice had a passion for flowers and gardening. She had a pumpkin patch on her farm, and she loved sharing it with the public each year. After moving to Minneapolis, she opened the Virginian. Many enjoyed her wonderful meals and her companionship while visiting with an ice-cold drink.

          Alice was an avid gameshow watcher and enjoyed playing games of UNO and Scrabble with her family. She loved sharing her crafting with her grandkids along with making many crocheted blankets or cross-stitched items for family and friends.  Alice had a love of the Royals, and she rarely missed watching a game.

          She was preceded in death by her parents.

          Alice is survived by her children, Robert Quinn, Jr. and wife Catalina and Brenda Fraser and husband, Mark; brother, Jack Barr and wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Krista Hardesty (Waylon), Kara Bertrand (Shane), and Johnnie Quinn (Jason Bryant); and eight great-grandchildren.

 </figure>Alice Jo Campbell, 79, Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 23, 1946, in Salina to Dewey and Virginia (Ringquist) Barr. Alice had a passion for flowers and gardening. She had a pumpkin patch on her farm, and she loved sharing it with the public each year. After moving to Minneapolis, she opened the Virginian. Many enjoyed her wonderful meals and her companionship while visiting with an ice-cold drink. Alice was an avid gameshow watcher and enjoyed playing games of UNO and Scrabble with her family. She loved sharing her crafting with her grandkids along with making many crocheted blankets or cross-stitched items for family and friends. Alice had a love of the Royals, and she rarely missed watching a game. She was preceded in death by her parents. Alice is survived by her children, Robert Quinn, Jr. and wife Catalina and Brenda Fraser and husband, Mark; brother, Jack Barr and wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Krista Hardesty (Waylon), Kara Bertrand (Shane), and Johnnie Quinn (Jason Bryant); and eight great-grandchildren. Alice Jo Campbell

Patricia Mae Tomlins, 94, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Salina, Kansas. Born on June 24, 1931, to William Aubrey Singleton and Marjorie Ella McMath in Dermott, Arkansas. Her family lived in Arkansas until she was a freshman in high school when the family moved to Wellington, Kansas where she graduated from high school in 1949.

She was married to James “Bud” Tomlins from 1949 to 1974 and together they had two sons, Byron and Scott. She was married to William (Bill) Billau from 1977 to 1992.

Pat went back to work as a secretary for Jack Parr Associates and Evans

Grain Company when her children were older. In 1992 Evans Grain closed and she went to work in the education department for Consumer Credit Counseling Services until she retired in 1997.

Pat was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church where she served as an ordained Elder and a longtime member of the Evangelism Committee. She was a lifetime member of Presbyterian women where she served as Moderator and Circle Leader. She was Skipper for Clipper Mariners and served as Co-Admiral of the Sunrise Ship. She also volunteered for several years as Coordinator for the Red Cross Blood Mobile Canteen.

She also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Family Hope Center Board. In 1997, she received the Super Senior Award for church services.

Pat moved to Salina Presbyterian Manor in 2018, where she has been active in the life of the Manor by volunteering as coordinator of Food Bank donations, Manor Employees Christmas Fund Committee, and First Floor Representative to the Residents Council.

Pat is survived by her two sons, Dr. Byron Tomlins (Paula), Topeka, KS, and Scott Tomlins, Salina, KS, grandchildren; Dr. Ryan Tomlins (Heidi Prockish), Topeka, KS, Carly Showman (Shawn), Lawrence, KS, Marisa Shadwick (Will), Kansas City, MO, Emily Tomlins (Adam Campbell), Liberty, MO, Kate Murray (Josh), Salina, KS, Deagan Tomlins (Alyssa Wildcat), Moore, OK, great grandchildren; Jude and Abigail Murray, Coy Campbell, Fred Showman, Grayson, Avery, Addison Tomlins and Ivy Linabary. Pat is also survived by her sister, Billie Curry, Hot Springs, AK, nephew Dr. Andy Curry, niece Katie Carter, Texarkana, AK.

There will be a celebration of her life at Sunrise Presbyterian Church on February 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Patricia Mae Tomlins

Duane Isaacson passed away on January 16, 2026 in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 70. He was born on March 1, 1955 in Superior, Nebraska to Edward and Mary Jane (Howland) Isaacson.

Duane graduated from Courtland High School in 1973 where he was a captain of the football team and class president. He continued his education at Brown Mackey College, earning his associate degree in 1975.

In 1976, Duane joined the Peace Corps, serving 2 years in Costa Rica. During his time there, he met and married Irene. In 1978 he and Irene moved back to Kansas, and in 1981, the couple welcomed a son Derek. They remained a family for 11yrs before arriving at a divorce. Duane continued to live in the Rossville Kansas area, working in the insurance industry until 1992.

He then decided to move to North Dakota, and while there, he was blessed with a daughter Andrea in 1995.

In 2002, he decided to go back to Costa Rica for 6 years before returning to Kansas in 2008. Duane settled in his Salina home and spent the remainer of his working years employed with Cape Roofing and Menards. Sadly in 2019, his illness made him incapable of continuing employment and he entered medical care soon after.

Duane’s life reflected a spirit of adventure, service, and adaptability. He will be remembered by those who knew him for his unique life experiences, and spending his time on Earth exactly how he wanted to.

He is survived by his children, Derek (Michelle) Isaacson of St. Cloud, FL and Andrea Casson of Greenbay, WI; siblings, Ralph Isaacson of Stafford, AZ, Lois (Ivan) Walker of CO, Rex Isaacson of Courtland, KS; two grandchildren Troy and Taylor Isaacson ; and a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Jane Isaacson; siblings, Erma Greenwood, Rita Hilt, and Joyce Veach.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Courtland United Methodist Church on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM.

Sharolyn Stout, 89, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 5, 1936, in Ottawa County, to Lowell and Lena (Hendrixson) Morton.

       Sharolyn was a 1954 graduate of Minneapolis High School then she attended Brown Mackie College in Salina. She worked as a secretary at the Minneapolis Clinic for many years. She and Dick Popham were married in 1955 and they later divorced. Sharolyn married Cline Stout in 1980, and they enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada. Sharolyn was known for beautiful quilts and embroidery.

       She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cline; and siblings, Sheila and Gail.

       Sharolyn’s survivors are her daughters, Debbie McDonald and husband, John, Pam Klewein and husband, Rick, and Vicki Novotny; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

       Private graveside services will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Sharolyn’s daughters will be forever grateful for the care she received while living at Oak View at the Ottawa County Health Center and would ask that memorial contributions be made to them. Becky Vering-Younger, 71, died on November 23, 2025, at her home. Becky was the devoted wife to her late husband and love of her life, Jesse Younger. She was a warm and wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews and an unwavering friend to many.

Born July 9, 1954, in Salina, she was the daughter of Bill and Polly Vering. Becky had four older siblings: Diana, Bill, Libby and Jack. She worked as a nurse and truck driver. Later, she and Jesse owned and operated LTR Engineering, specializing in Harley-Davidson repairs.
