Mary Jeanita Goetz, 96, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 21st, 2024.

Mary was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on January 24, 1928, a daughter of Barbara (Riedel) and Joseph A. Bieker.

She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Ellis and was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Salina, from the beginning.

She worked in Food Service at USD 305 for 10 years and as Food Service Director at USD 400 in Lindsborg.

On December 28, 1948, Mary married Donald Goetz in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Santa Ana, California.

Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Hiner (Cain), of Assaria, Rita Billips, of Salina; sons, Joe Goetz of Hoyt, Kansas and Ernie Goetz (Michelle), of Minneapolis, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary is also survived by two sisters, Viola Billinger (Joe), of Hays, Kansas, and Marlaine Gottschalk, of Schoenchen, Kansas; and sister-law, Sheryl Bieker, of Scranton, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; son-in-law, Larry Billips; and daughter-in-law, Laurie Goetz.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina. The Rosary service will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 27th at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church, Salina with Fr. Kevin Weber officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina, Kansas.

Clarence J. “Jerry” Henderson, 74, Bennington, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Salina Regional Health Center. Jerry was born June 15, 1950, in Salina to Clarence E. and Magdalena (Krone) Henderson.

Jerry and Karen R. Cherry were united in marriage on November 27, 1968, in Bennington. Jerry worked for many years as a road grater for Ottawa County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen on March 13, 2005; and siblings, William, Alfred, Albert, Martha, and Steve.

Survivors are his daughters, Janet Beemer and husband, Richard and Teresa Clements and husband, Gary; siblings, Donald, Gloria, and Mary; granddaughter, Shelbee Fontes and husband, Matthew; and two great-granddaughters, Brynlee and Kynzlee.

Visitation will be Friday, November 22 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 23 at the funeral home. Born Patricia Ann Bodine on August 26th 1943 in Delano, California. Jeanne was adopted at age 3 by John C. &amp; Dena Reimer, then taking the name Jeanne Ann Reimer. Jeanne grew up in Shafter, California. Jeanne came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age, forever securing her eternal life.

In Jeanne’s adult life she had a heart for teaching, and upon graduating from Tabor College, she would teach Sunday school, VBS and elementary age school classes. Jeanne had a calling to minister to children. One of Jeanne’s greatest desires was for her children and grandchildren to come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, as she did.

After a long and rewarding career as a greatly loved teacher, Jeanne retired. Over the years during retirement she would substitute teach. Jeanne also volunteered at a small Christian school in Salina, KS up until her glorious ascent to meet her beloved Savior.

Jeanne was a loving wife to her husband of 58 years, Stuart Dyck. A caring mother to her three children, Christy, Jennifer and Scott. She had joy in being involved with her grandchildren, Andrew, Caleb, Courtney, Grace, Emma, Natalie, Luke and Gabriel. She absolutely adored her three great granddaughters, Daisy, Ava and Isla.

One of Jeanne’s joys was traveling to Wichita, KS where she would attend church and was involved in a Bible study with a group of dear friends and amazing women. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters in law.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband Stu, her three children Christy (Scott), Jennifer and Scott (Katey). Her eight grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley), Caleb, Courtney, Grace (Shiloh), Emma, Natalie, Luke and Gabriel. Her three great grandchildren, Daisy, Ava and Isla. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As we gather to mourn our loss, we may also rejoice in heavens gain. Jeanne walks with Jesus, singing praises and rejoicing with loved ones. Rest assured that one day soon we will all reunite in the glorious presence of our Lord.

Graham Cecil Jones, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024.

Born on October 9, 1936, in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, England, Graham's early years were shaped by the dramatic events of World War II. As a young child, he endured the German bombing of his beloved Isle of Wight, experiences that would forge his resilient spirit and later fuel his fascinating stories of wartime Britain. Despite those challenging times, or perhaps because of them, Graham developed the quick wit and warm humor that would become his hallmark. He had a gift for brightening any room with his perfectly timed quips and infectious laughter.

A talented electrical engineer, Graham dedicated his skills to the aerospace industry, ultimately retiring as the manager of FR High Temp in Denver, Colorado. His job took him across the globe, and his journey led him from the shores of England to the heartland of America in the 1970s, where he built a life while maintaining strong ties to his British roots.

Graham was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Cecil James Jones and Rita Margaret (Nash) Jones, and his beloved sister Pauline Cox (husband Ron).

He is survived by his loving wife Joreen (Klein) Jones; his daughters Sue Anne Jones of Ringwood UK, Sally Elizabeth Jones of Southampton UK, and Jennifer Feeney (husband Levi) of Dripping Springs, TX; his brother Stuart Jones of Shalfleet, Isle of Wight; and his cherished grandchildren Matthew Wing of South Sea Hampshire, UK, and Landon and Campbell Feeney of Dripping Springs.

A true craftsman at heart, Graham found joy in home repairs and innovations, always ready to lend his expertise to neighbors in need. His love for adventure shone through his passion for gardening and exploring the United States with his wife in their RV. His sharp mind, helping hand, and ability to find humor in life's everyday moments will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Graham Cecil Jones

Ruby Frances McBee passed away peacefully at Presbyterian Manor in Salina, Kansas on November 6, 2024. She was 101 years old.

Ruby was born in Braymer, Missouri on October 9, 1923 and grew up on a farm in nearby Black Oak community. She graduated from Braymer High School in 1941 and married her high school sweetheart, Charles Wallace McBee, in July the following year.

A long-time Salina resident, Ruby was a devoted wife and mother. She served as a deacon at Sunrise Presbyterian Church and was active in church groups. She sat on the dialysis board at Asbury Hospital, now Salina Regional Medical Center. She had many friends.

Ruby was a talented and industrious homemaker, a charming hostess, a fabulous cook, a prolific gardener, a fine seamstress and quilter, an artistic photographer, a bold traveler, and a savvy bridge player.

She kept the Sabbath faithfully and worshipped her Savior. She faced hardship with grace, and adversity with courage and optimism. Hers was a worthy life.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Cordia Clevenger, her husband, Wallace, her daughter Marilyn Jean, her son Stephen, her brother Irvin Clevenger, and her second husband, Ray Eichler.

She is survived by her daughters, Sally Gutzman of Salina and Jane Shahi of Lawrence, her grandsons, Derek (Becca) Moline of Salina and Cole Moline (Samantha) of Michigan, her stepkids, Tricia Lehane of Scottsdale, Arizona and Ralph (Gayle) Eichler of Teulon, Manitoba, grandchildren Riley, Kayden, Sophie, Kane, Alexander and Victoria, and many cousins and extended family.

Ruby Frances McBee, 101

With heavy hearts and deep love, we remember Sheila Lorraine Heart, who passed peacefully on November 3rd, joining her beloved husband of 40 years, Cecil Heart, and her sons Carl, Cecil Jr. (Buddy), and Rodney in the embrace of heaven. 

Sheila was born on March 8th, 1940, in Flint, Michigan, one of eight siblings. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and unwavering compassion. For 40 years, Sheila shared a beautiful life with Cecil until his passing in 2004. In the years that followed, she filled her days with the things that brought her joy: her faith, her family, her cherished church, and the friends who became family. Known for her devotion to the Bible, she found comfort and wisdom in its words, which she loved to listen to. 

Sheila’s home was always filled with the warmth of family dinners, the beauty of spring flowers she adored, and the laughter of little children she cared for as a devoted babysitter, foster mom, and grandmother to many. Sheila was a loving mother to six children and delighted in being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She held Bible studies in her home, where her love for her faith and community shone brightly. Her generous heart extended beyond her family; she welcomed countless children into her life, becoming a second mother or grandmother to those who needed one. 

Sheila is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Sandra &amp; Mike Hollenback of Gillette, WY and Lisa &amp; Duane McGowen of Junction City, KS, her son Thomas Heart of Gillette, WY, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous others who lovingly called her “Mom” or “Grandma.” She was deeply loved, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Her kindness, warmth, and unshakable faith will be cherished always. Sheila is now at peace, forever with Jesus, surrounded by the family she so dearly missed. C

Tiena E Hill, 58, passed away on November 02, 2024 at her home in Belleville, KS.

Tiena was born on October 22, 1966 in Salina, KS to parents John F and Marjorie Evelyn (Merrill) Hill.

Tiena was involved in Special Olympics and enjoyed cross hook, latch hook, television and bowling.

Tiena was preceded in death by Marjorie Wilcox (Mother), John Hill (Father).

Tiena is survived by her Guardian Samantha Clark of Belleville, KS.

He was born January 29, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

James better known as Jim worked as a sheriff deputy and as a realtor. He loved spending his time fishing and being around his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Priscilla Morris, brother Thomas Morris, and his son Jason Morris.

Ronald Paul Fredrickson, 84, of Courtland, Kansas, passed away at his home on November 6, 2024. He was the middle child, born on July 21, 1940, in rural Courland to Paul and Clarice (Nelson) Fredrickson.

Ron started his education in a country school before attending school in Courtland schools where he graduated from Courtland High School in 1958. While in high school, Ron had had a small hog operation and helped Loren Austin as a farm hand. After graduation, he joined the Kansas Bostwick Irrigation District in 1961 where he enjoyed a 48-year career, retiring in 2006.

On June 4, 1971, he was united in marriage to Rosanna Larson at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Salina, Kansas. They were married until her death in 2014. This union brought two sons, Jon and Jeremy.

He was an active member of the Courtland United Methodist Church and served on various functions.

Ron enjoyed farming and working on projects where he could run the excavator. He rarely missed a Sunday at church or a KU or K-State game on TV. He was most proud of his grandson Carter and spoiled him every chance he could.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosanna Fredrickson, his parents, and his brother, Reverend Jimmie Fredrickson. Ron will be missed by his sons Jon Fredrickson, Duluth, MN, and Jeremy Fredrickson (Amanda), Scandia, KS; grandson Carter Fredrickson; and sister Janice (Tom) Chandler; nieces and nephews; many other relatives and a community of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Courtland United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock and Pastor Kathy Aeillo officiating.

Terry Serocki, of Salina, Kan., passed away on November 17th, 2024. Known by his friends as "The Rock," Terry was a friend, a father, and a demolition man to the core. Terry was known to help a person in need, enjoyed putting smiles on people's faces by being goofy, and was playfully ornery to the end.&nbsp;

Terry was born to John and Irma (Raines) Serocki on June 16, 1964, in Abilene, KS. After completing high school, he went on to vocational school for auto mechanics - his passion. The Serocki Demo team participated in over a hundred demos throughout Kansas and all the way to Daytona. When Terry wasn't wrenching on a car, he was camping/fishing, playing the slots or cheering on his favorite team - Go Chiefs!&nbsp;

Terry was also a proud father to Ashleigh and Alex. They spent many summers at Worlds of Fun, camping at Kanopolis Lake and watching movies.&nbsp;

Terry is survived by his father, John Serocki (Claudia); brother, Bryan Serocki (Regina); son, Alex Serocki; and daughter, Ashleigh Schremmer (Brandon). He also leaves behind several friends, while joining others. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Serocki; and brothers, Brant Serocki and William Todd Serocki (Debra).&nbsp;

Jayme L. Scofield, the son of Elwin F.&nbsp; and Ellen J. (Levendofsky) Scofield, was born February 6, 1961, in Belleville, Kansas and passed away Monday, November 14, 2024 in Salina, Kansas, at the age of 63 years.

Jayme grew up on a farm north of Belleville.&nbsp; He attended school in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School.&nbsp; During his school years, Jayme was active in sports, especially loving basketball and tennis, which he continued playing in adulthood.&nbsp;&nbsp; Jayme graduated from Emporia State University.&nbsp; He worked a little in the accounting field, but mostly worked as an independent contract driver, covering the United States.&nbsp; He shared many interesting travel stories with family.

Jayme was “dad” to Foreign Exchange Students from several countries.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Charlotte Burton; niece Amber Burton; and three infant nephews, Bradley Boman, Darrel Chatfield, and Darrin Chatfield.

Jayme is survived by four sisters, Carolyn Conwell, of Salina, Sandra (Gary) Boman, of Belleville, JoAnn (Ken) Gurley, of Silver Springs, Nevada, LeAnn (Tim) Sankey, of Salina; one brother, Gary (Lori) Scofield, of Belleville; his significant other, Doreen Tombaugh, of Salina; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Belleville Cemetery. &nbsp;

Mary Ladene Edwards, 75, of Pinnacle Care Healthcare and Rehab of Salina, Ks, passed away on November 13, 2024.&nbsp;

Mary was born June 26, 1949, at Asbury Hospital, to Raymond Archie Edwards and Phyllis Jean Edwards. Mary graduated from Salina High School in 1967. She worked at Elmore Sundries and Gift Shop until it closed. She then worked at Capitol Federal Savings Bank.

Mary was a loving aunt to Chris (Kylie) Hurtig of Wichita, KS; Joshua (Marcee) Edwards of Hansen, ID; Luke Edwards of Rapid City, SD; Lindsey (Travis) Tillett of Salina, KS; Kolby (Andrea) Edwards of Lawrence.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Ray; her brother, Allan; and her mother, Jean.

She is survived by her brother, Dennis (Marlene) Sundance, WY; her sister in law Connie Edwards (Scott Lang) and previously mentioned nieces and nephews.

Mary was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church of Salina, KS and she dearly loved her church family.

Mary had many, many dear friends and loved getting together. Gatherings for coffee, holidays or birthdays were always lots of fun.

Kay Mathilde Gross was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Albert and Mathilde (Beckmann) Kisling on March 25, 1946. She passed peacefully at her home on November 14, 2024.

Kay grew up in Diller, Nebraska, and attended Diller Community Schools, graduating in 1964. She attended Fairbury Junior College. Kay married Douglas Gross in Garden City, Kansas, on October 5, 1985. Kay was a member of St. John Lutheran Church which she attended regularly. She was a member of the Tabitha Group of Women at the Church. They were active in making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She had so much love for family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, canning, and baking.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Keri Walle (Craig); stepson, James Gross; stepdaughter, Janice Gross; granddaughter, Regan Walle; grandson, Brendan Tucker; brother, Harry Kisling (Diane); and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Kisling.

 Kay Mathilde Gross

Doris M. Cole, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 21, 1935, in Westminster, England, to Richard and Doris (Warner) Hornsby. Doris lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion.

On July 25, 1953, Doris married Robert Cole in Westminster, England. Doris’s legacy continues through her sons, Paul, Keith (Pam), Frank (Sandy), and James (Julie); her daughter, Marilyn (Cory) Connelly; and her grandchildren: Rich (Beth), Jeremiaha, lovingly known as Toad (Amy), David, Steven (Carly), Brian, Tracee (Jeff) Powell, Cassee, Anna (Adam) Knepper, and Trevor. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 15, and she cherished her special friend, Pat LaOrange, and stepson, Trace (Brenda) LaOrange.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Doris Hornsby; her husband, Robert; her son, William; her stepson, Michael LaOrange; her grandson, Michael; her great-grandson, Ethan; and her daughter-in-law, Candy.

Doris dedicated her career to Federal-Mogul, Presbyterian Manor, and Asbury/Salina Regional Hospital, where her dedication and warmth left a lasting impact. In retirement, she cherished summers at the Lake of the Ozarks. Known for her kind heart, unwavering resilience, and deep love for those around her, Doris was a pillar of strength and compassion to all who knew her.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.&nbsp; Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 21 at the funeral home.&nbsp; Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. Born November 21, 1935, in Westminster, England, to Richard and Doris (Warner) Hornsby. Doris lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion.On July 25, 1953, Doris married Robert Cole in Westminster, England. Doris’s legacy continues through her sons, Paul, Keith (Pam), Frank (Sandy), and James (Julie); her daughter, Marilyn (Cory) Connelly; and her grandchildren: Rich (Beth), Jeremiaha, lovingly known as Toad (Amy), David, Steven (Carly), Brian, Tracee (Jeff) Powell, Cassee, Anna (Adam) Knepper, and Trevor. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 15, and she cherished her special friend, Pat LaOrange, and stepson, Trace (Brenda) LaOrange.She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Doris Hornsby; her husband, Robert; her son, William; her stepson, Michael LaOrange; her grandson, Michael; her great-grandson, Ethan; and her daughter-in-law, Candy.Doris dedicated her career to Federal-Mogul, Presbyterian Manor, and Asbury/Salina Regional Hospital, where her dedication and warmth left a lasting impact. In retirement, she cherished summers at the Lake of the Ozarks. Kathy Lee Frohardt (Manbeck) passed away November 11th, 2024 at the Good Shepard Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas surrounded by her children and her sister.

Kathy was born January 31, 1945 in Salina, Kansas to Chuck and Lois Manbeck. Kathy attended elementary school in Milford, Kansas. The family later moved to Chapman where she attended junior hgh school and graduated from Dickinson County Community High School with the class of 1963.

On October 4th, 1964 Kathy married the love of her life James (Jim) Frohardt. Jim and Kathy lived in Chapman where she was a home maker and owned and operated Chapman Florist. She was a proud mom of 2 children her daughter Tina and son Shawn and 2 grandsons Joel and Trent Jordan.

Kathy could be found attending sporting events or music programs that her children or grandchildren or nieces or nephews participated in, or watching K-State or Kansas City Chiefs football. Kathy was also involved in the Chapman area Preservation Society.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Tina Frohardt and son Shawn Frohardt both of Chapman. Her 4-legged son Riley, her grandsons Joel Jordan of Junction City, Kansas and Trent Jordan (Steph) of rural Chapman and her sister Vicki Rehm (Dean) of Abilene, and half-sister Denise Weeks of Blue Eye MO. Niece Stacia Wiley(Darin) of Chapman, Chad Livingston (Michelle) Abilene, Brian Livingston (Angie) of Olathe and great nieces and nephews Tori and Jaxon Foy, Kathleen Livingston.

Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years James Frohardt, her parents Chuck and Lois Manbeck and her in laws Lavern and Myrtle Frohardt.

A celebration of life will be held at the Chapman United Methodist Church Saturday November 30th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Chapman Area Preservation Society or Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice. Kathy Lee Frohardt (Manbeck)

Hayden George Ballou, 15, of Carlton, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 10th, at St. Louis Children Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Hayden was born in Salina, Kansas on July 20, 2009, a son of Ashley Nicole (Russell) and William Hayden Ballou.

Hayden lived his life in a way we should all strive for. He cared deeply for others. Seen the good in every situation and person. Always gave his best efforts and didn't know the word give up.

Hayden's world revolved around his cancer journey. But he never let that stop him. He loved the great outdoors. He hunted anything that moved. If it wasn't hunting season, it was fishing season. He also enjoyed camping, golf, disc golf, and corn hole. Anything really that got him outdoors.

Hayden loved his family, friends, and his dog Hunter above all else. He had a soft spot for kids younger than him. It did not matter how badly he was hurting or how sick he was. He was always worried about others and put them before himself. He had a fierce competitive side, but always knew when to hold back to give others a sporting chance. He encouraged everyone to do their best and loved seeing others succeed even if they did better than him.

Hayden truly was a model of what living life to the fullest looked like. He worked hard, played hard, and loved hard. He had very few complaints. He was always just a genuinely happy, loving, and peaceful person.

May we all cherish the very short time we got on this earth with Hayden. May we let his memory remind us to do better and be better. When life gets tough remember Hayden's strength and positivity. He is a light in everyone's life that met him.

Survivors include his parents, Ashley and William Ballou and three sisters, Payton Ballou, Aspen Ballou, Ellason Ballou, all of Carlton, Kansas.

Hayden is also survived by his grandparents, Karlene and Steve Lawson, Mike Russell, Connie and Cody Rogers, Dave Ballou; great grandparents, Lila Neber, Hayden and Georgana Ballou; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Frank and Betty Russell, Frank Neber, Rhonda Sturm, and George and Mary Gantt.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, November 22nd at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home &amp; Crematory and the family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Hayden Ballou

Helen "Marie" Pritchard, 64, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 13th, at Salina Regional Health Center, in Salina, Kansas.

Marie was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 30, 1959, to Helen G (Schartz) and James C Wandel.

She graduated from Buhler High School and later married David Pritchard on June 11, 1977 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Marie continuously brought joy into everyone’s life and had a heart of gold. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids and was tremendously proud of each and every one of them.

Survivors include her husband, David Pritchard; and two daughters, Valeen Gariepy (Kyle), and Janelle Marie Schartz.

She is also survived by her grandchild, Ciera Gariepy; and four great grandchildren, Oakley Gariepy, Daxe Rogers, Riverlynn Gariepy, and Raelynn Hicks.

Marie is preceded in death by her grandchild, Kaden Gariepy, and parents.

Cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 3:00pm, Friday, November 15, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

Helen "Marie" Pritchard

Gene Anthony Blochlinger, age 77, entered into rest on November 12, 2024, at the Sunset Nursing Home, in Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born on August 3, 1947, to Paul and Lela (Istas) Blochlinger.

Gene was a 1965 graduate of Minneapolis High School, Minneapolis, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;He served in the United States Army National Guard and reached the rank of SSG.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was honorably discharged.

On January 7, 1967, he married Judy Kay Householter at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas.

He went on to become a Barber for 17 years, after graduating from the Old Town Barber College.

He was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and the 4th&nbsp;Degree Knights of Columbus.

Gene also worked for Associated Milk Producers Inc., Mid-America Dairymen Inc., which eventually were bought out by Dairy Farmers of America for 25 plus years before retirement.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their family had previously lived in Hillsboro, Seneca before moving to Concordia in 2018.

He is survived by his wife Judy Blochlinger, Concordia, KS; three sons, Scott Blochlinger, Gypsum, KS; Darren Blochlinger (Ann), Millersberg, OH; Blake Blochlinger, Denton, TX; a daughter, Jaime Brennan (Brian), Poolesville, MD; brother, Kevin Blochlinger (Linda), Minneapolis, KS; three sisters; sister-in-law, Shelly Anderson (Jeff), McPherson, KS; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lela, a brother, Randy Blochlinger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas, with Fr. Larry L. Steppe was born March 5, 1936 in Junction City, Kansas the son of Albert F. and Janice (Davison) Steppe. He passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Chapman Valley Manor Nursing Home in Chapman.

Larry Graduated from the Dickinson County Community High School in 1955 and then attended the University of Kansas for two years.

Larry served in the United States Navy from 1957–1961 and then worked for the Junction City Police Department from 1961-1962. He then worked for Firestone and went back to the police force from 1963-1966. Following that, Larry worked civil service at Ft. Riley until retiring in 1995.

Larry loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and photography.

Besides his wife, Larry is preceded in death by his parents.Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Good Hope Cemetery, Sage Road Chapman, Kansas with Pastor Darren Baker officiating.
