MIAMI COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 5a.m. Sunday in Miami County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford F250 driven by Jacob Vonweller, 47, Osawatomie, was southbound on U.S. 169 one mile North of Lookout Road. The pickup trailer left the lane of travel and the driver lost control. The vehicle and trailer entered the center median and rolled. Vonweller and a passenger Stacy Ray Haley, 53, Osawatomie, were not wearing seat belts and ejected.
Vonweller was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. EMS transported Haley to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
