🎥 Dignitaries cut ribbon for new KC International Airport

KANSAS CITY—U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg joined Kansas Lt. Governor David Toland, Kansas 3rd District Rep. Sharice Davids, Missouri 5th District Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, Missouri Governor Mike Parson, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and a select group of invited guests to participate in the celebration for the completion of the new Kansas City International Airport terminal. 

The terminal officially opens Tuesday. 

This is third trip to Kansas for Buttigieg since joining the Biden administration. 

On Monday he also visited the future site of the multibillion-dollar Panasonic electric vehicle battery plant in De Soto, Kansas, 30 miles southwest of Kansas City and toured the Plaster Center during a stop at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
