KANSAS CITY —A woman critically injured in an accident earlier this month in Kansas City has died.
Just before 7:30p.m. October 10, an elderly was pinned between the door and frame of a black Nissan Murano and a wooden utility pole at 3914 Elmwood in Kansas City, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
EMS transported her to Truman Medical Center for treatment of life threatening injuries. On Monday, the Jackson County Medical Examiner's office notified police that hospice care staff pronounced the woman dead over the weekend. Police did not release the victim's name.
This is fatality #80 compared to #82 at this time last year in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Gonzalez.
