Colonel Will McKannay bids farewell to Fort Riley after serving as the U.S. Army Garrison Commander Fort Riley since July 2020.
Col. McKannay arrived at Fort Riley amid the COVID-19 pandemic and led soldiers through an unprecedented time.
Col. McKannay's next assignment takes him to Colorado Springs, Colorado, with the U.S. Northern Command.
Colonel Michael Foote takes over as Garrison Commander at Fort Riley, he has recently served as Garrison Commander of U.S. Army Garrison Fort Greeley, Alaska, and Special Forces Branch Chief at Human Resources Command.
