WYANDOTTE COUNTY–Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City, Kansas have identified the victim as 20-year-old Anna Juarez, according to a statement from police.
Just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday officers with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department were called the area of North 11th Street and Barnett Avenue to investigate a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene they located Juarez, outside of her home. She had been shot. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries. A person of interest is currently in police custody.
Police released no additional details.
