KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 6p.m. Thursday, police responded to an injury accident in the 3700 block of East 51st Street, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
When officers arrived, they located a man later identified as 50-year-old Terry Lindsey suffering from life-threatening injuries. Lindsey was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Originally, Accident Investigation Unit detectives responded to the scene to handle the investigation. However, preliminary findings revealed the Lindsey appeared to have been struck intentionally by a vehicle. Homicide Detectives have taken over the case and this is being investigated as a homicide.
A subject of interest was taken into custody a short time later, pending further investigation. Detectives conducted area canvasses for witnesses and surveillance footage.
Crime Scene responded to the scene and processed all available physical evidence.
