Police: Kan. girl abducted is found safe; suspect in custody

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Police reported just after 8:30p.m. Kennedy was located in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, according to Officer Trevor Macy.

She is safe, and a suspect is in custody. She will be reunited with family soon, and the suspect will be transported back to Wichita as police continue the investigation.

Police reported no additional details Sunday evening.

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a reported abduction and asking the public for help to locate 6-year-old Kennedy Reyes, according to a social media report from Wichita Police.

Kennedy is 4-foot-6, with brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings and a light blue hoodie.

She was inside a gold/tan Lexus Rx330 with KS Veteran Tag 37CWF when it was stolen from the 2300 block of N. Amidon in Wichita.

Police ask that if you see Kennedy or the Lexus please call 911 immediately.
