COWLEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are asking for the public's help in identifying an individual who was found deceased inside a residence in the 400 block of S. 10th Street in Arkansas City, according to a media release from police.
At approximately noon Tuesday, police were dispatched to the residence after receiving a report of a deceased individual. Officers and investigators responded to the scene and confirmed that one individual was deceased. Investigators processed the scene and conducted interviews as part of the ongoing investigation.
The deceased was transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for a medical examination. The cause and manner of death will not be known until the autopsy is complete, and the results will help investigators determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about a missing family member, friend, or acquaintance, or who has information that could assist in identifying the individual, to contact the Arkansas City Police Department Investigations Unit at (620) 441-4547.
