SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas teen died in an accident Monday in Wichita.
Just after 4 p.m., police and other emergency crews responded to an injury crash in the area of 21st Street and Burns, according to a media release from Wichita Police. The investigation revealed that a single vehicle driven by Alejandro M. Tran, 19, Wichita, crossed multiple lanes of traffic toward the river, struck the tree line and flipped down into the river.
Wichita Fire Department personnel extricated Tran from the vehicle and transported him to a local hospital. He was later pronounced deceased.
Police released no additional details.
